Featured images quality look downgraded, why? (7 posts)

The issue is that when I set a featured image for a post is look downgraded in quality. For example, here: http://hellotecnologia.com/blog/internet/las-20-cosas-mas-buscadas-en-internet-wikipedia/. However, if you look at the original image it look way better in quality: http://hellotecnologia.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/wikilogo1.jpg.

The original picture size is: 150 * 156.
The featured image size is: 150 * 150.

  2. Resized images loose some quality, this is true. To avoid it, make them the 'size' you want. Since your featured size is 150x150, I would edit images to that size before posting them to avoid the problem.

That make sense... Resize it with Photoshop and then upload...

  4. Just be aware that your thumbnails and other resized-by-WordPress will be lower quality. It's the nature of the software used to run the resizing, which is dependent on your server.

You can use plugins like NextGen gallery to force higher quality.

But NextGen Gallery is more intended for image gallery... Do you know any other for force higher quality in featured images?

  6. Alas, not that I'm aware of.
