Featured images not showing in blog post

    I may be missing something obvious, but I can’t find the answer to solve my problem.

    The featured image per blog post shows in the blog listing (http://jumpstartercreative.com/blog/), but click on a post and the featured image is not part of the post.

    I’m using PhotoDropper, so the image credit goes automagically at the end of the post, but looks odd since there is no image when viewing a post.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    My understanding is that you have to put the image in the post.

    If you don’t then set a featured image, the first will be chosen to show in the post list. If you do set a featured image, then it will be shown in the post list.

    But if you set a featured image only as a featured image, then it won’t show in the blog post itself.

    At least, that’s how mine work.

    Thank you, I was looking for this too – any idea if it’s possible to get the standard featured image working? The theme’s coding is a bit… unconventional…….

    According to the WordPress Codex, “The display of [the featured] image is up to the theme”.

    Personally, I prefer to have the choice of a different featured image that doesn’t appear in the post.
