Featured Image Slider Widget Text shows in front of Drop-Down Navigation

I am using a purchased template Massive Press from Press 75. The “Featured Image Slider” headlines are showing over the drop-down menus and interrupts users when they attempt to scroll down. Is it possible to have the headline text be in the background and the drop down navigation to be in front?

I found a few posts that talked about z-index numbers (but I tried changing all I could find with no result). I also looked for a JQuery in the header with no luck.
