Just want to suggest that WordPress lets outside developers in on the Featured Image sauce that you've implemented in the mobile app. E.g., I'd love it if Mars Edit could handle featured images and hook into the media library.
I apologize if this exists as a feature request already. Just wanted to add my voice.
