[resolved] Featured Content Widget Hijacking Page Titles (3 posts)

    Hi folks,

    I am using WP3.1, Suffusion 3.7.8 and HeadSpace2 3.6.34 on my site (http://www.reviewedmusic.com).

The problem I am having is this - when I use the Featured Content Widget, the title of the last featured post is appearing as my page title on every post page. (As opposed to the post page title).

    Eg. http://reviewedmusic.com/2011/album-review-tom-vek-leisure-seizure/

You will notice that the page title up top by the favicon is Interview: Tord Overland-Knudsen...

I've tried disabling WP Widgets through the HeadSpace2 settings to no avail...

Clearly, whichever bit of code dictates the page title is picking up something from the widget rather than the page title. In HeadSpace2, the Page Title for posts should be rendered as: %%sitename%% - %%title%% and clearly that's not happening for me.

    Any ideas?

OK. I've had a bit more of a play and this appears to be a Headspace2 issue.

When I turn HS2 off, the titles all return to their correct state... So at the moment my alternatives are to kill my SEO plug-in or lose the Featured Content Widget. The latter will do in a pinch, but neither are really ideal.

Obviously, HeadSpace2 is picking up the title from the FC rather than the post itself... Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks!

Turns out that the Forced Title Rewrite function of HeadSpace2 was the one causing the problems... I disabled it and the issue is gone.

    Consider this solved!
