[resolved] Feature requests: Filter by DB IDs/Combine filters (5 posts)

    Need I say more?
Instead of the inheritance mess, or to complement it if one just can't use it, wouldn't it be nice to have filters by db ids?
The second is to have a meta title for the filters instead of the actual url, and combine for more than one url.
Even with some issues and headaches, the plugin can still be used, so great job so far, Jeff. Please take into account usability as well, I know this is one reason you started the 3.0 proj. So thanks for listening and for the work done so far.

I'm not sure what you mean by DB ID. The plugin is intended to only load the settings from one post/page/custom post_type and the global set for efficiency. If it has to do multiple queries to collect all the different settings and then prioritize them and sort out the final plugin list on every page load it would become a major load on the database.
I can easily add the name field. I did have that in there during development at one point and removed it. I will add it back in with the next release.

    1. DB ID means post/page/custom post ID.
URLs are not always the best choice, but can be worked with... What happens when permalink changes?

    2. I know you don't want to hear me in this:), but this is a hell of a feature request: Can, in a future version, the same set be applied to multiple permalinks in the same custom filter so that if one has multiple pages/posts (not related by url) that he wants to apply the same rules to?

    Thanks.

The problem with using a post/page id is that when you access the page and the wordpress core has not been loaded how do you determine which page/post id you are accessing? That is what the url is used for. The plugin disabling is done before wordpress is loaded so much of its functionality is unusable.
