[Feature Request] Rename image file names (all sizes) via media library/gallery

    Hi,

    something that really bugs me is that I cannot rename the
    file name of an image including all sizes of that image.

    I always have to delete the image from my blog and then
    upload the same image again with the new file name.

    I also have to remember the old image ID so that I can
    replace this ID with the new ID in the gallery which
    is embedded in the article.

    This is really pain in the ass when it comes to a lot
    of photos where you notice that the file names should
    be different for whatever reason (typos, improving for
    Google search, etc.).

    Is there anything in the works to allow us to rename
    the file name of images in future versions?

    Would be really appreciated!

    I second this one! It has struck my mind several times.
    Such function shouldn’t be too hard to implement, either.

    I third this motion! Counsel is correct on the matter. Renaming image file names is a pain. It would be a definite improvement.
