Editorial Calendar
[resolved] Feature Request: Option for dashboard display of all post types (7 posts)

This plugin is amazing, but I often need a full picture of posting frequency across the entire site. Can we have an option to place this on the Dashboard and show all post types?

Please, please, please. I am really interested in this. I would like to see all of the scheduled posts across all post types.

    Hi Guys,

I've heard this request a few times, but it's tricky to support the calendar in both modes. You can make all post types show up on a single calendar with a small coding change, but it does mean changing the calendar.

    Thanks,
    Zack

    "Features
    1. See all of your posts and when they'll be posted."

Then this plugin is incomplete. Custom post types are enhanced posts, which is why they are also stored in the posts table. This plugin would make for an excellent tool for on-going content strategy, but I cannot recommend it when it only does half the job out-of-the-box.

If the plugin did cater to all post types, the Editorial Calendar could be housed as a page under "Dashboard" instead of under the "Posts" tab. This would better suit the needs of content creators and editors from a top-level content perspective.

@Zack can you tell us what this code change is?

I second SpaceDragon's opinion - the plugin is quite useless when you have many different post types. Looking at 15 different calendars to see when everything is scheduled defeats the purpose.

+1! This feature would be awesome to have. I too have a lot of different post types.
