Hello, Just wondering if you have thought about adding a feature that would allow the manual ordering of portfolio items?

    Hello Jordan,

it is not clear enough what should be done - it is necessary to sort portfolios when displaying on the main page of portfolio or it is necessary to sort images in the separate portfolio?

    Thanks.

Sorry, Let me explain it differently.

The main portfolio page, that lists all the portfolio you've added. There should be a way of sorting these, trying to change the published date doesn't seem to change anything.

    Does that make sense?

You have to edit the portfolio template in your theme. They mostly explain it in in the FAQ, but if you change the "menu_order" part in 'orderby' => 'menu_order' to "date" or another option you can move them around by changing dates or other options. then you can change ASC or DESC depending on what you want.

I'm here looking for to see if I can use a meta keyword instead of date and it looks like that might work. It would be nice if you could sort them the same way you can sort images with menu_order.

Why isn't page attributes showing for when you edit a portfolio entry?

Anyways, I updated the template to use date and just changed the publish date and all is good!

Thanks! That's what you get for not RTFM.

Yeah, I think if they were to include that in the editor it would fix the whole issue.

I'm working around the issue on my own by changeing menu_order to modified
and then I set 'order' => 'DESC',
that way it places my most recently modified post first.

(FYI: I'm not associated with the plug-in developer, just a user trying to give you a hand, while you wait for them to respond.)

Oh I know, and thanks! Hopefully the developer sees this and does something to help folks out. For someone that just downloads this plugin and has no clue on editing templates, its hard for them to understand.
