Feature request: Live blog updates push to Twitter (6 posts)

It would be great to have the ability to have each live blog update send a tweet as well, with options to customize the formatting of that tweet and a link back to the anchor location on the page for that particular live blog update.

    Hey brohism,

We are planning Twitter integration though we are still not certain how it will look like. Here you can find some of our current ideas:

    Definite +1 to this!

Although it might distract people away from the blog it could also attract quite a few.

If implemented so that every liveblog tweet that's sent links back to either the liveblog parent post, or the individual liveblog update, it should still generate sufficient traffic.

Aye, true, though I suspect folk would just follow the tweets rather than going to the live blog.

Still, so long as the information gets out there I don't suppose it matters where it's being read from. Horses for courses. Fortunately I don't run a commercial site so don't have to worry about driving up hits for money.

Even better, I've never had to us the ghastly, vile, horrendous word, 'monetize.' :)

I would love to simul-tweet as I liveblog on my WP site. As it is now, I'll be doing both in parallel, by hand, for an event I'm covering this weekend.
