    Hey!

    Is there a way I can also feature pages in the slider?

    Right now I'm using a static front page with a different slider plugin, but it's just not working as smoothly as the original one. Plus I have to deal with manually making the site responsive, which is a pain... :)

    Please let me know, would really appreciate some help!

    My site is http://www.tipsthailand.nl

    I use the MASTERSLIDER plugin for that cases instead of the original featured one. It's responsive, can show images (with layers) or posts or pages etc.
    There's a demo login at their website, so that you can try it for your own.
    http://masterslider.com -> see the link there for the "WordPress plugin"

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply! I'm willing to buy a plugin, if that solves the problem. My only question is, if I can place the slider (easily) on the exact same position as it is now?

    I saw the screenshot you attached in your reply to a similar question, but that slider is placed above the main column.

    Thanks again :).

    That does not matter, you simply need to add the shortcode for your slider

    [masterslider id="1"]

    where ever you like. I have placed it in the header.php around line 80, because I want the slider above all content:

    http://screencloud.net/v/hMN6

    I have tried it below the main column of the content, and that worked, too, because the "masterslider" is a responsive plugin, means the slider adapts to the width that you set in the slider settings. AND: the slider is responsive.

    It is easy to implement by just adding the shortcode in the header.php for example (as in my case). If you'd like to place it over the content you need to put the shortcode in the file "inc" -> "page-title.php" in line 2 or 7, depending on where you'd like to show it.

    Replacing the featured slider you can delete line 9 in index.php and replace it by the shortcode

    [masterslider id="1"]

    That's all and it worked fine in my case.

    However: I use the HUEMAN theme from Alex' website, not the light edition here of the WordPress rep! I don't know, if this might make a difference for that case.

    Hey csigncsign,

    I've added the Master Slider plugin, and I LOVE it, thank you for suggesting it. The only thing is that I can't seem to add the slides that I made to my website.

    In the index.php of my Child Theme, I deleted line 9 and replaced it with [masterslider id="3"]. That looks like this on my site:

    http://tipsthailand.nl/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/slider-error-1024x557.png

    I also tried placing the shortcode inside the original php line of the index file:

    <?php get_template_part('[masterslider id="3"]'); ?>

    But that doesn't work either. Obviously I'm doing something wrong here, but I can't figure out what. Could you please help me?

    Thanks!

    Oops, found the solution. I used this code, and it works like a charm:

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[masterslider id="3"]') ?>
