   info:
   using WP Verson 2.9.1
   using Atahualpa Theme Version 3.4

   here's the site:

   everything was working beautifully, making only content changes and no config/css edits for a while now. then yesterday, the header image and some of the css seems to have broken/gone away and the following lines of code show up on the site.

   /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/favicon/20-favicon.ico" /> /xmlrpc.php" /> /xmlrpc.php?rsd" /> /wp-includes/wlwmanifest.xml" />

   /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/poa_wpheader_1_flat.jpg') top center no-repeat;">

   i never specified a favicon but i do have custom header img in place. the file is there on the server, but not showing up for some reason.

   also...when i try to login to my dashboard, nothing happens.
   meaning, the login page refreshes without logging me in.

   has anyone come across this issue? would deeply appreciate any help or insight into this as i'm new to WP and don't know where to start for troubleshooting.

   clarification:

   from the site, when i click the Log In link, the actual site refreshes and does not take me to the WP Log In page.

   If I enter the actual URL for the Log In page, I get to the Log In page but it's NOT styled correctly and then when I enter my Log In info, again, nothing happens except for a page refresh.

   just wanted to be clear. thanks again for any help on all of this!

   my site is doing something like that....I don't know about you but i'm freaking out. I cant log in to my dashboard either. Who is your hosting company? I have two wp blogs on network solutions and they both are doing the same thing. http://bobottoskarate.com/UST/

   mine's on network solutions as well
   called them this morning and of course they said it was a WP issue
   the only solution they gave was to Repair this WordPress from inside the Network Solutions Account module....which would of course delete any theme customizations that we've made.

   i had a feeling it was an issue with Network Solutions b/c yesterday or the day before i tried to log in to their FTP File Publishing app and it "wasn't available".....

   they must've been doing some sort of maintenance and screwed some stuff up.

   i'm going to call them back with the knowledge that you're having the issue as well.

   thanks for posting this response. it at least gives me a tiny clue as to where to start.

   i'll update here if i make any headway with them.
   it'd be helpful if you called as well so they know it's not just me....or you......
