Favicon won’t change

Hi,

I’ve seen other people who’ve had a similar problem, but they seem to resolve themselves with a browser cache, and a bit of time.

I’ve changed out one favicon for another, but the original I added refuses to go away.

I have used the following code in the header:
<link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/favicon.ico” />

And it worked once before. I have deleted all instances of the old favicon. I have changed the name of the favicon and the code to reflect the changes (in this instance, no favicon shows). I have also tried using a couple of favicon plugins, but to no avial. The only way to get rid of the old favicon is to remove the code. But then I am left faviconless 🙁

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’m completely baffled!
