    Hey all,

I was reading this thread about favicons for a multisite install.

In Travis's reply, he mentions his post on how to solve the conundrum.

Question is, which functions.php file does this code belong?

I tried the functions.php file located in wp-includes > functions.php and things came to a screeching hault! hehe

    Thanks

There's a ton of plugins that add favicons without having to change any code.

    Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator: http://wordpress.org/plugins/favicon-by-realfavicongenerator/

  3. NEVER EVER EVER EDIT ANYTHING IN WP-ADMIN OR WP-INCLUDES!!!!!

functions.php ALWAYS refers to your THEME'S function.php file.

That said, the change would only be for people using that theme, so Marc's suggestion of a plugin is better.

(Please never edit CORE WordPress files - that way lies madness)
