I have created a favicon and upload it to the site. the result is that I could not see it. I have checked it via different browsers. but no way.can any one please help? thanks in advance

  2. Be sure it's a valid favicon type image file called favicon.ico and link it this way in your header.php

    <link rel="icon" href="<?php bloginfo('siteurl'); ?>/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php bloginfo('siteurl'); ?>/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

Thank you Songdogtech for your answer. what I did not mention is that I am a newbie here.I have no idea whatsoever about coding. from my experience with other wp thems is that I just load the favicon.ico in them and that´s it. I thought it is the same with magazine basic. is there something like uploading the favicon and its all done? thanks once again

shokingly Simple Favicon is not the answer i should say sorry.

  6. Check your header.php for the favicon link code I posted above, or ask the theme designer. Not all browsers automatically pick up a favicon without a link.
