    I am the host.

    So why are you using Fantastico?

    Have lots of sites to install. Hoping it will save time.

    In that case, I can only guess that there’s something wrong within Fantastico. Looks like it may not be applying full privileges to the new db user.

    I got it installed. I was thinking Fantastico would install the database. It must not. I manually created an sql database. After this I used Fantastico to install WP with no errors.

    Fantastico if set up correctly, will create the database, user, and all the privileges needed. I use fantastico at times to install WordPress on the fly! I’ve never had to set up the database for WordPress when using it.
