   Anybody has the answer?

   I was getting an error Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 31457280) (tried to allocate 1245184 bytes) in /home/www/translatetraducciones.com/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 5410 for a while

   I tried everything and narrowed it down to the plug-in I thought to be causing it: SEO Ultimate. I’ve upgraded to WP 3.2.1, I've increased my php.ini to 256M, I’ve modified my wp-config.php to 256M, I've read every support forum and I've even lit candles to St. Blogger and yet the problem continued.

   I’ve installed the TPC! Memory Usage plug-in, that shows that my Memory Usage: 26.49M/256M

   I have finally uninstalled SEO Ultimate and everything was fine until today, that I’ve got a Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 31457280) (tried to allocate 186056 bytes) in /home/www/translatetraducciones.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 251 when trying to add another plug in.

   So it seems that WP doesn’t recognize the increased memory (even if TCP plug-in does) and if I want to use close to 32M I am in trouble.

   Anybody can help with this before I throw myself out of the window?

   you should ask your host to increase the memory limit to more memory. the memory usage basically is being controlled by the host.

   He already said his php.ini was bumped up to 256M

   Thanks, Richard. Yes, as I've said earlier, they have increased my memory to 256M in my php.ini. In fact, yesterday they have increased to 1056M (which I think is ridiculously large)
