I just switched from Blogger to WordPress.org and spent a LOT of money to do so. So far, I am less than impressed. Today, I edited/added some plugins and now it WILL NOT let me log in and a page with only this pops up:
Fatal Error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/myusername/mywebsite.com/wp-content/plugins/subscribers-text-counter/subscribers-text-counter.php on line 174
How in the world do I fix this? Help please! Thank you!

Using ftp or log into your hosted account and change the name of the plugin subscribers-text-counter to xsubscribers-text-counter.
That will get you back in. Something is wrong with that plugin.

Thanks for your help! If you're still on (or if another can assist me), I use DreamHost and here's what I have done so far:
from the DreamHost cpanel:
1) Logged in to my ftp
2) Went from my website > wp-content > plugins > subscribers-text-counter > subscribers-text-counter.php
Then I got stuck. I don't know how to edit/delete anything!
I have done this for all of 2 days, so I am SO confused!

As kmessinger mentioned above, try changing the folder name.
So from the cPanel, go to "File Manager" and go to
wp-content > plugins and change the folder name "subscribers-text-counter" to something else.

Does your File Manager look like this?

If so, click the folder name and then click the "Rename" button at the top right to the "Delete" button.
If you File Manager looks different, can you take a screenshot and show us?

I also captured the menu when right-clicking it.
The rest of the page is blank.

Ok, I just solved it. I accessed the Web FTP. It wouldn't access it before because it didn't have the www. in the URL. Once the www. was in, I was able to successfully login and, magically, these buttons appeared to edit the FTP. I took your suggestions to change the name of the file. Once I did this, it completely fixed it! Thank you so much, and sorry to be a bugger. I really appreciate the help--and the quick answers. Have a great day, everyone! I'll bug you all again in probably 5 minutes once I screw something else up...lol.

Hi, I am getting the same error but now every time I re-install the plugin and activate it I lose access to my admin. What do I need to do?
