• Hi,

I just updated wordpress to 3.9.1 and wordpress deactivated the plugin because it caused a fatal error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare secure_invite_version() (previously declared in F:\xampp\htdocs\website\wp-content\plugins\wordpress-mu-secure-invites\secure_invite.php:13) in F:\xampp\htdocs\website\wp-content\plugins\wordpress-mu-secure-invites\secure_invite-bak.php on line 14

somehow the version number is wrong or something like that

    What is going wrong?

It looks like you may have two copies of Secure Invites in your plugins folder. In particular this file:

    plugins\wordpress-mu-secure-invites\secure_invite-bak.php

Looks to be a backup (“-bak”) of the Secure Invites plugin. Do you have a backup plugin running on your site that may have created this backup file?

    Hi

Yes when I played around with the files I noticed that was the problem. sorry I didn’t make a follow up post, but I had forgotten that I had asked this question. Thanks for your answer.

    Greetings

    Mark,
