• Upgraded to new version of W3TC on Friday.

I first didn’t notice any problem (because I see my site as a logged in user). But Internet users reported they saw blank pages.
(error messages like those in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-connection-was-reset-3?replies=1)

After several hours of analysis (I suspected the Headway theme upgraded the same day…), I discovered that :

    0. the difference of behaviour was linked to user status (logged in / not logged in)
    1. in its logs, Apache reported a fatal error for a child process each time a page was requested for an unlogged user
    2. finally, W3TC is the culprit because as soon as I desactivated it in the control panel, the site went back to normal.

Please find the root cause before all the plugin review go down. It would be a shame because your plugin is a wonderfull help to close the gap between static site generators and fully dynamic portals.

    Thanks.
