I am also getting the same error since updating to 2.9 affecting updating widgets, editing pages and editing posts, and using the Quick Edit link on for Pages and Posts. Is there a fix for this bug yet?

    Hi,

    Check with these options;

    - Disable All the plugins.
    - upgrade your wordpress version to the latest stable version
    - remove all the unwanted code from htaccess
    - assign 755 recursive permissions to wp-content folder.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

Right now it seems that if anyone is running Slideshow Gallery this is causing the error for mine.

I'm getting the same behavior. The Slideshow Gallery plugin from Tribulant seems to be the cause.

For example, if I go to Pages > Add New, this error message displays as soon as I enter any text in the page title field and then change the focus to the page body field, either by clicking or tabbing:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_redirect() in [...]/wp-admin/admin.php on line 33

I'm hoping Antonie (Slideshow Gallery plugin author) will release a fix for this soon. In the meantime, any ideas on why this is happening?

BTW Shane G., I followed your advice carefully, no joy unfortunately.

    Hey guys,

Has anyone managed to find a work around / fix for this? I've spent all afternoon looking at the code, but haven't had any luck with it!

Or does anyone know of an alternative slideshow, just as simple as this one?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi Guys,

I just installed the new version, and while I don't get the fatal error anymore, I also don't get a slideshow... I can't even find the spiffy new button for easy slideshow posting. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Nora
