Fatal error while upgrading

    I just tried to upgrade to the new version of wordpress and this is what I’m getting now.

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare create_user() (previously declared in /home/gustinau/public_html/walz/wp-includes/deprecated.php:1261) in /home/gustinau/public_html/walz/wp-includes/registration.php on line 182

    What do I do?

    Following the instructions at Upgrading WordPress Extended, I had no difficulty upgrading from 2.6.3 to 2.6.5.

    Might delete and reupload your files as describe in Steps 7 and 8 of the upgrade link in the previous paragraph.

    Actually I was updating from an older version. Im thinking it was 2.3.

    I followed the instructions yet it didn’t work. I am trying right now to delete and reupload

    Oh. I was panicking for nothing.

    Deleting old files then reuploading rather than just overwriting files works like a charm.
