    Hi there,

Anyone help me with a fix – I get a “Cannot redeclare class Plugin_Upgrader in …\httpdocs\wp-admin\includes\class-wp-upgrader.php on line 593” – I’ve removed the full url here but can anyone shed any light on where to look for a fix?

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php

It was a theme problem – swapping it out and re-enabling it after the upgrade worked in the end – strange as its the first time an upgrade has failed and i’ve used this theme for the past two years without any issues with upgrading in the past.
