  • It looks like your database didn’t update properly.

Do you remember seeing a message during the update process that said something like “WP must now update the database… click to continue”?

EDIT: I see the error has to do with the “All in One Events Calendar”.

Manually re-name that plugins directory using FTP or your hosts cPanel, and it might let you back into the site.

Thanks Josh. I didn’t get a message during the update process – I don’t think I got that far because the All in One Events Calendar is no longer supported.

I have no technical ability, so I will need to get some help to fix this. I can get to FTP on my host control panel, but not sure what next. What do I manually re-name the All in One Event Calendar plugin directory to?

You can rename to, for example All in One Event Calendar plugin2. When you rename it, the plugin will become innactive and you’ll see if the error persists (or not).

    That’s correct.

The directory will actually be named like this:

    all-in-one-event-calendar

Just change it to this (or delete it):

    all-in-one-event-calendar-busted

It’s taken me awhile, but it’s all good! Thanks heaps, and what a relief to know that someone is ‘out there’ that is capable and willing to help. Thanks Josh and Media X
