I have a client that is having trouble viewing his wordpress powered website due to an error he keeps receiving once in a while:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\doss1\www\wp-includes\feed.php on line 28

Does anyone know what this could be and how I can fix it? Thanks.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thank you esmi for the info! Does this usually fix the problem?

This is the start of the troubleshooting process.
