Fatal error in Page 2 of WordPress 2.6 Installation (4 posts)

    i tried to install WordPress 2.6.
    the first page it request user to put the name of the blog and email.
    ok.i put the name and email and click "Install WordPress" button,

    and the next page shows this:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function username_exists() in /home/haziqruz/public_html/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php on line 32

    Can any guys help me how to figure this out?
    Once I refresh this page, it says the WordPress already been installed.

    and i execute the installer from http://haziqruzaini.com/wp-admin/install.php

    The installer probably hung on step 2 and now you have the wrong url values in database. Here is how you fix it:

    can you explain to me what is the information needed to be changed when you describe this in the tutorial?

    change the information in the 'option_value' field and the 'home' value ?

    an example would be helpful.

    is that will complete the installation?
