    Hello WordPress community…

Urgently relying on your help, so I would love to here from you…

I’m currently getting this error on my WordPress site:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_plugin_data() in /home/content/23/11156723/html/sitename/wp-content/plugins/welcome-to-wordpress/resources/class.wtwp-upgrader.php on line 69

Does anybody know how to solve it, as it’s stopping me from accessing my WordPress dashboard? This error took place after I logged into my site.

    Thanks.

from my understanding, this is probably a godaddy error as this file was created by them. it looks as though it’s a branded ‘welcome’ add on.

they first told me that this problem had nothing to to with them, so i’m calling them up for the second time.

    let’s see what happens…

Yes, it looks that way – but you could also try accessing your site file and deleting that plugin from the plugins folder –

    wp-content
       plugins
           welcome-to-wordpress

will give this a go, i’m speaking to them at the moment. will let you know what happens…

yeah… turns out it’s their welcome plugin. it’s not required.

got rid of it, now everything is working properly.

    hooray. problem solved.

thanks for the advice by the way WPyogi. Have a nice day.
