Can you post the entire error message?
Fatal error: Class ‘Jigoshop_Base’ not found in /home/treecard/public_html/wp-content/themes/theme2096/jigoshop/widgets/my-cart.php on line 7
You are using a TemplateMonster theme. TemplateMonster themes are known to override Jigoshop’s core functions and classes, and in doing so they break all the time because of this. This isn’t an issue with Jigoshop but rather with the theme you are using from TemplateMonster. If you switch to 2011 or 2012 you’ll notice this error goes away. If you’re in fatal error, you might not be able to get to the backend to switch, but if you can operate an FTP program you should be able to just rename the folder containing your theme. If you don’t know how to operate an FTP program, I’d advise contacting TemplateMonster for support, as you’ll likely also be in need (once you disable that theme) of an update for your theme
I understand this might be a bit frustrating (TemplateMonster doesn’t have the best history of providing support). My advice would be to contact TemplateMonster as soon as possible. In the meantime, you might want to ask your host if they have a backup of your site that they can restore until TemplateMonster can provide you an update.
I figured as much. I have had issues with this theme from the get-go. I appreciate your weighing in on this.
Since this is a template issue, do you know of someone who provides an attractive ecommerce website that is compatible with the latest versions of jigoshop and wordpress that won’t break all the time?
Hi Stykman,
Please send an email to info@jigoshop.com and our team will be able to advise you.
