Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error

    Hi Brian

    I saw your plugin and wanted to try it out … I’m using MAMP Pro with PHP 5.3.x on a Mac and the plugin installs ok.

    When I choose any option from the Debug This I get an error like this ….

    Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /Volumes/Proust/Sites/dev/wp-content/plugins/debug-this/debug-this.php on line 183

    just wondering if its something I’ve done?

    Hi Damien,

    I’ll look into this next week when I get some free time. I also have MAMP installed here locally so I can test with your config. I’ll update you when I get a chance.

    Hi Brian

    Apologies — been a busy couple of weeks

    Just tried to use the option Cache > Object Cache and get this error

    [28-Feb-2013 23:03:48] PHP Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /Volumes/Proust/Sites/dev/wp-content/plugins/debug-this/debug-this.php on line 183

    Also get the same problem with widgets, menus,

    But a few others are working like taxonomies, dropins

    I just found that if I change the blog URL from blog.<computer hostname>.local to local.<domain>.tld, the plugin functions properly. Something must be wrong with the .local top level domain.

    Hi, I just encountered the same error:
    Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /xxx/xxx/xxxx.net/xxx/xx/wp-content/plugins/debug-this/debug-this.php on line 183

    (this is a regular production install on a shared host)

    I’d like to use debug this to discover why my shared host has a problem with Oembed for instagram links (twitter & flickr are just fine) so this error caught me off guard 😉
