Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_request() in /home/content/d/i/a/dianayr/html/wp-includes/update.php on line 58

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_post() in /home/content/d/i/a/dianayr/html/wp-includes/cron.php on line 201

Have just upgraded to version 2.7, and now can't log in to my account and my website isn't visible anymore. Upgraded my wp admin and wp includes folders and left the content folder intact as I've modified the templates slightly. Can someone please let me know what this means and how to rectify it... in plain language please, I know very little technical language...

I have just tried to delete both admin and includes folders and re-install them. I the deleted one of the plugins because I forgot to deactivate it. Still not having any luck. I've also tried to re-upload the cron.php file in question but no luck... someone?

Do you still get the same or a different error? Fatal error: Call to undefined function almost always means a file did not get uploaded to the server correctly.

I am getting the same "Call to undefined function wp_remote_request()" error when I try to open any page. I do NOT have any active plugins. I have reinstalled the files twice. I do not have google sitemaps.

Someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this ...

you fix it by uploading ALL of the files. I pointed where I pointed you on the other thread on purpose.

It does not matter how many times youve uploaded the files if you do it wrong over and over again.

Let me guess what precipitated the error? You upgrading?

I did upload ALL the files. The good news is I tried ity again, and now all that's happening is that when I go to the login page, the page times out. When I check the error log in cPanel it's giving me a blank field.

This problem wwas resolved by deactivating a redirect. I was redirecting "peoriapundit.com" to my site's address "peoriapundit.com/blogpeoria." It was caught in a loop. Once I cancelled that redirect, all was well and it proceeded amoothly.

this was resolved by uploading ALL the files and removing a redirect.
