I hit the upgrade button before reading anything about plug-ins or what might happen, etc. Now, when I log in I get the message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_update_data() in /home/content/85/6924185/html/wp-admin/menu.php on line 34
How do I fix it so I can edit my site again?! I host through GoDaddy, and the website is automotiveservicetraining.com. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Try:
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.
- re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php

I'm trying to reset the plugins folder via FTP using the WordPress guide. I renamed all of the folders, but when I login to the /wp-admin I still see the error message. Not sure where to go from here...

Here is a screenshot of my folders in GoDaddy. As you can see, I have them renamed. How do I upload specific files from the fresh copy of Word Press? Check wp_admin and click upload? Can I just delete the wordpress-3 files under upgrade? Sorry. I'm so confused, and don't want to mess anything up.

I re-uploaded all of the files except the content folder, and I'm still getting the error message and can't login to try another upgrade.
