[resolved] Fatal Error After Updating Template (6 posts)

I updated my template to Hatch 0.2.6 and then planned on updating my WordPress to 3.5.1, but once the template was completed I received this error...
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /home/katieb5/public_html/wp-content/themes/hatch/library/admin/theme-settings.php on line 35"

Now I cannot do anything. When I try to log out and log in, it sends me straight to the error.

    Suggestions?

Try using FTP to deactivate the theme - http://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble#Deactivate_Theme

Then you should be able to login again and go ahead and update WP before you activate that theme again. Also be sure you deactivate your plugins before updating.

The problem is I can't do anything. I can't get into my dashboard to edit anything. That error pops up anytime I try to do anything associated with my site.

Login to your site NOT via WP's admin, because you can't right now.

Login to your server using FTP to deactivate the theme (detail in first link above) then you can login to WP's admin.

In case you don't have FTP login info already, contact your web hosting and ask for it. Actually, the person who helped you install WP will know how to get to this.

Ah, duh...that makes sense. I'll give it a try.
