FATAL ERROR after installing (4 posts)

For the past couple of hours, I have been reading people's posts about the errors they are getting after updating WordPress and I've been trying to figure out the error on my own, but I am having trouble since I don't have enough knowledge.

I am able to log in and I am able to see the dashboard. Everything looks like it should work. However, whenever I click on a link I get this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/hellolol/public_html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 126

    OR this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/hellolol/public_html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 174

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to my cpanel and found the menu.php file. First I renamed it, but nothing happened. Then I rewrote it, but again, nothing happened. I'm not sure if that's what I was supposed to do, but I just gave it a try.

Would anyone know what I should be doing?

    Would really appreciate your help.
    Thank you,
    Lolo

  2. Can you turn off all your plugins and see if that lets you in.

    Thank you for the reply!
I can't turn off the plugins from the dashboard because I get an error when I click on the plugin link.
How would I turn them off through the cpanel? Do I just delete the plugins folder?

    Thanks again~

  4. Rename it plugins-old via cPanel and that will do it :)
