[resolved] Fatal Error enabling Register Plus Redux (3 posts)

I'm in the process of moving a wordpress site to a new domain, and when I try to activate Register Plus Redux, I get this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home/atgncom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/register-plus-redux/rpr-login.php on line 1.

I tried disabling all the other plugins before trying enabling Register Plus Redux, but still get the same error. The only difference between the new site and the old is the new site is running WordPress version 3.7, everything else is the same, same hardware, same versions of PHP, MySQL etc.

    Any ideas?

Did you ever solve this issue? There are three other people (including me) who have encountered this problem. We're discusing it in this item: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-on-plugin-activation-2

If you solved it, could you come tell us how? If you didn't, could you post in the other thread so that all of the people experiencing the problem are consolidated in one place?

This error crops up from time to time, it's always been a corrupt file. I would delete the plugin and reinstall it. That has seemed to clear it up.

Previous incarnation of the same problem:
