I get the following message when the plugin is activated and nothing on the site works.

I have deactivated the plugin so the site works (www.ancl.co.uk)

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bnc_wptouch_get_user_agents() in /homepages/26/d252627752/htdocs/ANCL/wp-content/plugins/mysitemyway-wptouch-shortcodes/lib/classes/wptouch.php on line 301

    Hope that helps.

  • I have exactly this same error, and I am also using a mysitemyway theme on my sites. Ever since upgrading to the new version of WPtouch, it just does not work. The latest update 3.1.3 that came out today (12/13/2013) did not resolve this error. When the plugin is activated, the site becomes inaccessible. The problem occurs on several sites using the same theme. Deactivating and deleting the WPtouch plugin (including all of the files) and reinstalling it from scratch did not fix the problem. The only way that I was able to get the site working again with the plugin was to revert to the older version 1.989. I was very glad that fortunately, I did not lose control of the site and have to delete all of the site files and reinstall everything from scratch. 🙂

This plugin is still BROKEN even after installing version 3.1.4. FATAL ERROR! If you are using WordPress 3.8 and a Themeforest theme, DO NOT INSTALL this plugin. It DOES NOT WORK and will break your site (not just for mobiles).

I have been lucky so far and have not lost control of the site after unsuccessfully trying versions 3.1.1 – 3.1.4 but I am not taking any more chances.

The mysitemyway-wptouch-shortcodes plugin is using a function that is no longer in WPtouch. Until they release an update that no longer makes use of that function, you can resolve the problem and restore access to your WPtouch-powered mobile site by disabling their plugin.

They may also appreciate a post to their support forums about this problem.

Please amend your review of the product— it wasn’t broken at all, but rather being used by you with an outdated, incompatible plugin for the 2.x pro version of WPtouch.

Fair enough that it’s using an older function, but surely you need to make sure that updates are compatible with the older function and does not break peoples sites as it was the wp touch plugin that caused the problem. Would it be possible to have an option that uses the old function?

No, we don’t— this is the free version of WPtouch, and that plugin/code was for an older Pro version (2.x). We updated the free version here form 1.9.x to 3.1— a generous and substantial update, for free.

We don’t have any obligation to support functionality leveraged by 3rd party plugins or services, especially considering we don’t get any revenue from the sale of those products.

    The offending plugin is this:

    http://mysitemyway.com/docs/index.php/WPtouch

It apparently is offered to those mysitemyway customers using WPtouch Pro 2.x, not 3.x.

I appreciate the response to our concerns about the incompatibility of the ThemeForest/MySiteMyWay themes with WPtouch 3.x. They have advised users to deactivate or remove the WPTouch plugin since the current versions of their themes are responsive. This is what we plan to do.

I would like to thank you for making this excellent plugin available, including the no-cost version which we used initially before upgrading our clients’ sites to the Pro version. It was an excellent solution while it worked. Thanks again.

I am not using that plugin but I still get fatal error when I get to click Pages or Users admin pages.
