Just working on a fashion blog Fashionista on a Budget by Chelsey Prentice and wanted to get some feedback on the design. Tried to keep the site clean and simple so the focus is on the post content and images.
The site is built with WP 3.4.2, Twitter Bootstrap and Font Awesome. I built the theme from scratch so it is completely custom. Plugins used are Akismet, Jetpack and WTI Like Post.

Could you possibly only have one shadowed element, to create more contrast between other elements?

Thanks for the feedback Andrew I see what you mean. Although my client did ask for the 'block' design. I think it actually works well to separate images on single.php when lots of them are attached to the post. see this post
I might use your idea on page templates.
