Seems to be a popular question, and haven't made it clear in the readme file, so here's the trick.
1. Sign up for a Gravatar for your e-mail address on gravatar.com
2. Login to your WordPress admin, browse to Settings - General
3. Set the Admin E-mail to the e-mail address you registered with on Gravatar.com.
New Gravatars might take a while to appear, so hang in there, and don't hesitate to ping me if you need any help!

Hi Konstantin,
compliments for your theme, it's really good!
Why in my blog I can't see my gravatar?
Thanks!
Best regards!

Why we need to use gravatar?
@xbyte1024: you don't need to use Gravatar. You can upload your own custom image in Appearance - Header.

@Konstantin Kovshenin:
No I talk about an avatar, not a header!
The default header image (top left side of the theme) is a Gravatar. You can either change it on Gravatar.com for the e-mail address set in Settings - General, or you can upload your custom image in Appearance - Header.
If you would like to change your avatar when commenting, see Users - Profile and Settings - Discussion.
