FancyBox install problem…

I installed the plug in FancyBox but as of yet nothing has happened. Is there something else I need to do to get the plug in working? When you click on the picture in my blog posts it takes you to a flickr page but I want to be able to have the fancybox pop out and scroll left and right through the pictures within that blog post. I also want it to show the alt tag as well.

Help! I am not a programmer so any help would be great….
