   Thanks for your work on this elegant solution to my needs. I will implement using the list option but would like to use the fancy option.

   I have this code in my page '[smart_archives include_cat=52]'.
   Only posts from that category appear in the lists but when I click on
   ( View complete archive page )
   I get all posts from that month regardless of category. This is my TEST bed -

   Also, Is there an easy way in WP dashboard to find the id of a category?
