having issues with upgrading… anything you can suggest will be great… even getting me pointed in the right direction will be cool if its server related…

when i try to to auto upgrade i get this error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wp-includes\class-http.php on line 1060

probably related is this error when i try to update plugins:

Warning: unlink(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot/wp-content/slidepress6.tmp) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wp-admin\includes\class-wp-upgrader.php on line 155
    Installing the latest version…
Removing the old version of the plugin…
    Plugin upgrade failed.

An error occured while updating SlidePress: Could not remove the old plugin..

    Disabling Maintenance mode…

    All updates have been completed.

Try deactivating all plugins before initiating the upgrade.

Maximum execution time of 30 seconds

30 seconds? That seems really weird. Have you ever been able to auto-upgrade before?

30 seconds is a very short maximum execution time. The upgrade can be executed in 30 seconds, but your server would need the connection, processor, and memory to support such a speedy execution.

Try increasing the maximum execution time in php.ini (e.g. max_execution_time = 600 ; ). Unfortunately, many hosts may not allow this.

If you can’t do that, contact your hosting provider. If they still refuse to help you, consider moving to a hosting provider that offers a maximum execution time of more than 30 seconds (most do).
