Failed to resize problem

Out of 43 images, 16 resized just fine and 27 failed to resize for reason: “…failed to resize. The error message was: The originally uploaded image file cannot be found at… ” Looking at the image files that DID resize versus the ones that did NOT resize, I see no difference in their location on the server. When I go into media library and try to resize one of the ones that did NOT resize, it gives the same error message. I have resized a couple of times before, and it worked. Can you advise how to solve this? It’s a very useful plugin when it works!!!
