Glad everything seems to be working other than Facebook. Is the Facebook video public or private? Can you share the embed code you’re using?
It is public and here’s the embed code:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10151653535566079" width="960" height="720" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Ah, I was unaware of their iframe embed code. I’ll add support for it!
Hey Sutherland,
The facebook embed code does not seem to be pulling the thumbnail image. Instead I just get the question mark image. Here’s an example of what I mean: http://imgur.com/JiyNyQg
Just ran the embed code provided earlier in the markup test inside the “Debugging” tab of the Video Thumbnails Settings page. Can you test the code giving the question mark or share it?
Sure. Here’s what I’m using:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=583796654985738" height="320" width="568" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Hmm just tested the previous code and it worked, but the last code doesn’t. Maybe it has to do with the height and width being switched?
I’ll try switching the height and width in my last code and see if it works.
Have you come across any other videos that don’t work? Facebook video thumbnails are usually located at http://graph.facebook.com/VIDEO_ID/picture
So you can see this link redirects to the appropriate thumbnail:
http://graph.facebook.com/10151653535566079/picture
But for some reason this one doesn’t:
http://graph.facebook.com/583796654985738/picture
Weird. The second video ID is shorter, maybe that has something to do with it? I don’t know, I’m just throwing out guesses.
I do believe I came across another one. Let me search through the site and see if I can find which one it was.
Here’s another one I just tried:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=583796654985738" height="320" width="568" frameborder="0"></iframe>
