• I posted this question last night, but cant seem to find the post now?

My blog posts are not posting to FB. I enabled the “share” option and connected my fb account but its still not working. I was able to get one post to share over after I uninstalled the fb ap and re-installed … but nothing since?

I have a couple of posts scheduled and one post shows it is going to share and the other post is not going to share.

I have gone into edit multiple times and clicked the box and then update, but its not holding and the box unchecks itself. Why is the Publicize working for some posts and not others?

    Thanks ~ HoopersChallenge.com

Just an update … the one post that was set to “share” this afternoon, never made it to my FB page. I had to manually share via the blog link after it was posted.

Could you try to reset your Facebook connection, by following the steps here:
    http://jetpack.me/support/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook

Let me know if this helps.

I have tried this multiple times over the last few days and it doesnt seem to work. It worked for 1 post but then that was it.

I have a couple of posts scheduled for today that I started “new” instead of “cloning” or “duplicating” a previous post — which appear like they are going to post over to FB. BUT, so did the one post here, that never made it.

Copying or cloning a published post to create a new one won’t trigger the Publicize feature, so that might indeed be what’s causing the issue.

Unfortunately, I do not have any information about the last post that failed, “Lovin’ my New Planter Boxes!”.

Could you let me know if you keep experiencing issues with your future non-copied posts?

Neither one of the posts that I had scheduled for today posted over to facebook. I just manually pushed one over.

Could you walk me through the steps you followed to create, and publish these posts?

    Thanks!

Ok, well I thought it was working, but it seems to be sporadic.

Again this am, I uninstalled the fb app and deleted the connection in wp, then reset them both and tried to scheduled a new post. But, it still didnt post over to FB.

Since I dont have an option to “duplicate” I use the “add new post” button and start from there. Sometimes, like the smoothie post from this morning, I will publish immediatley. Others, like the Recyclebank from this morning, I set up on a schedule to post a couple hours later. Neither of them from today posted to FB.

What plugin do they use in wp.com that allows a post to duplicate and still use the publicze plugin? I never had this issue when I had the .com, only when I switched to the .org account.

I guess you’re referring to the “Copy a Post” feature? I’m afraid this plugin has not been ported to WordPress.org yet; it’s only available to WordPress.com users.

It’s a good idea though: we’ll consider adding this feature to a future version of Jetpack!

The publicize feature is still not working. What I have figured out is the post that I publish immediatly are posted direct to FB. If I schedule them, they don’t push over.

    How can I fix this?

Could you try to disable all your plugins, one at a time, to see if one of them affects the status of your posts and blocks Publicize?

    Thanks!

I only have 3 plug ins and I disabled all of them for the entire day. I had 2 posts scheduled, neither of which posted to facebook. So it doesnt appear to be a conflict with any other plug in??

It seems to be another bug, indeed. Since reconnecting Facebook didn’t work earlier, could you let me know which posts were not publicized? I will then look into it into more detail.

    Thank you!

You can look at https://www.facebook.com/HoopersChallenge to see which ones posted over and which did not.
    The ones that say:
Hoopers Challenge shared a link via WordPress.com. about an hour ago are the ones that posted over. The others, I had to all manually share.

    Thanks.

It seems that your last 5 posts were not publicized. Could you let me know which were the ones that were duplicated from a previous post?

    Thanks.

None of them were duplicated. I disabled and removed that plugin when I started having the problem.
