Hi, when I try to share that post, the popup shows a strange “page not found” box (it seems like Facebook can’t read your content), while the other posts show and share just fine. It doesn’t seem a plugin issue. Did you try to use some Open Graph tag plugin, to present more structured data to Facebook?

Hi, it seems that Facebook updated its social code, the Facebook Share button is working again in several test sites. How about your issue?
Hi, the issue went away then reappeared on the 10th of this month. It’s currently working again. I had tried troubleshooting with my hosting service – here’s their response if it can be of any use:

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may have endured. Effectively, we have been unable to see any server-inflicted issues with your site. We first investigated the share button, we were able to reproduce the reception of a 404 error thumbnail when loading the share page. After researching this issue, we identified that it is possible for Facebook to have cached a 404 error page in one method or another for the URL and be serving that static data. We then discovered the following tool provided by Facebook.

This tool debugs the provided URL and ensures any cache is clear. Immediately following inserting the troublesome post’s URL into this tool, the share window loaded the correct metadata. Unfortunately, we are unable to say without providing speculation as to why or how Facebook received such an error in the first place. However, we can say that this is one method of resolving it.
I had the same issue on this:

and the problem disappeared when I checked the URL on the debugger. So is there a way to fix it properly or avoid it to happen again?

The FB share button is working for all my old posts but it won’t work for any of my new posts, it reads:

I am not using a Plugin, I am just using the Share settings made available in the WP dashboard under Settings and Sharing.
