Facebook Plugin Broke Page Pagination (8 posts)

    I'm using WordPress.org 3.5, Modernize Theme 2.23 and Facebook Plugin 1.1.8.

    When the Facebook Plugin is enabled and I try to access page 2 or Next Page, the page refresh and return to home. Nothing happens.

    When the Facebook Plugin is disabled, the link http://www.brunocunha.com/blog/page/2/ work fine.

    I really don't know whats is happening. Is there any one who could help?

    I'm having the same issue, Bruno. It's not just you. It's definitely the Facebook plugin. No fix that I can see as of yet.

    I just discovered this myself, same issue. WordPress 3.5, Woo Canvas Theme, latest Facebook Plugin. I don't know how long this behavior has been going on, just discovered it today, isolating down to the Facebook plugin. When deactivated, everything works fine.

    Any update? Woo Themes is pointing back to the developer.

    I just want to chime in and report that I have the same problem: When the Facebook plugin is enabled, pagination of the home page does not work because the request gets redirected to the canonical URL. When the plugin is disabled, pagination works as expected.

    Reproduced it on a local test system and used the "Debug wp_redirect" plugin to show where the redirection happens:

    Calling http://<IP>/page/2 in the browser redirects to http://<IP>

    The theme I use is called "Gridlocked". This seems to be the relevant part in the template:

    <?php
                if ( get_query_var('paged') ) { $paged = get_query_var('paged'); }
                elseif ( get_query_var('page') ) { $paged = get_query_var('page'); }
                else { $paged = 1; }

                query_posts( array( 'post_type' => 'portfolio',
                                    'paged' => $paged) );
    ?>

    Any hints on how to solve that problem? On my live site (http://caniget.it), I currently "solved" this by increasing the number of entries that are shown on the home page to avoid pagination at all...
