[resolved] Facebook Open Graph tags: can omit? (3 posts)

I use WordPress SEO by Yoast to add Open Graph metadata to the head.
It seems that Facebook Comments adds fb:app_id and fb:admins tags to the head also. Is there a way to disable this, leaving WordPress SEO in control of the Open Graph tags?

You can see what I'm talking about by visiting Facebook Developers Debugger and entering the URL

You'll get a Parser Mismatched Metadata warning.

If you enter nothing into those options the tag will not output. Or you can simply leave the options out of Yoast SEO for the same effect.

Actually, that doesn't work. It does output empty meta tags, and Facebook's debugger throws an error at these empty tags (as well as if you already have these same tags elsewhere, for example from an SEO plugin). I had to just comment these out in fbgraphinfo() in class-frontend.php to fix the errors.
