For about a month, off and on, I have had trouble getting the Featured Image to post to Facebook when sharing. Sometimes it works, others not. There have been times when renaming the permalink to the post and then re-sharing fixes it, others not. Again, very random. I am not a coder, at all, so this is beyond frustrating to me. I have spent several hours tonight searching similar problems and suggested fixes on the forums, including the Facebook debugger – but nothing seems to be a solid fix. I’ve even gone back and tried to reshare some old posts that I know worked originally – and again, a few did and few did not work upon the retry. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

On the Troubleshooting Forum, it was suggested to me that it may be a JetPack issue since I have that installed? I’ve had JetPack from launch, but only problems recently. Could it be a FB issue or another plugin messing with the code?

The latest post giving me fits trying to share with image is the On Fire post:

    Thank you all so much.

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

When you share a post on Facebook, or when Jetpack Publicize publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls the page and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …).

Jetpack automatically adds these meta tags to your posts unless you already use another plugin to do just that. I had a look at your site, and you seem to be using the official Facebook plugin to manage the Open Graph Meta tags.
You’ll consequently want to report the problem to the Facebook plugin authors here:
