Is there an easy-to-follow method of adding a Facebook link to the right-hand column on the 2011 theme? Seems it should be a straightforward matter, but I’ve not been able to find anything so far …

Have you tried http://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-button-plugin/ ?

Thanks, Kaniamea, but I’d found that one and been totally boggled by it! Any other suggestions welcome …

You could also try creating your Facebook link on https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/ and then add the code manually to your right-hand column.

Is your website running with child theme? If not you should first create one before modifying the code.

Many thanks for yet another suggestion, kaniamea, but I remain boggled! I think I’m going to have to see if there’s someone I know who knows more about this …
