• Hello. My site is http://www.GRANTJKIDNEY.com. After updating to the latest wordpress, the Facebook “like” meter on each of my site’s posts has been reset to zero!

    >>>Please help!<<<

I’ve been searching all over online for a solution- nothing. I’ve searched quite literally for days.

My site is enjoying a mild success of about 600-1000 views per day now… not much, but it’s a start considering I used to get next to nothing. The “like” button is a really cool way to show how popular an article is- and since it’s gone, I’m getting SO distracted.

    >>>Note: I’m the using the “Share and follow” plugin. I’ve disabled it and have tried other share plugins. I’ve even used Facebook’s own regular way of posting a “like” button. Still, nothing.

Also, when running my site through Facebook’s “linter”, it spits back data saying that the app id won’t read because I need to connect the “base domain”. What the hell?!

I haven’t yet resolved this. It’s extremely frustrating.

I’m reaching out to all the nerds to give me a helping hand!

I’ve removed the button count for now until the issue is resolved.

    1) Don’t bump your posts, it’s against the rules.

    2) Don’t bitch about not getting free help from volunteers. It’s not a good way to make people WANT to help you.

    3) That’s Facebook.

They maintain their own DB of your likes/dislikes etc. Their API recently changed, and a lot of metrics got screwed up.

Again, that would be facebook for you. Google the exact error.
