Not sure what to call it.. I want to be able to automatically post articles to my wordpress the same way I do on my facebook. I just post the link and it gives a thumbnail and a half of the first paragraph and links to the webpage from the link I posted. Is there any way to make wordpress operate like that?

Where are you planning on writing the articles in the first place?
Perhaps check https://posterous.com/ maybe that's the kind of tool you are looking for?

The articles I do can be directly on WordPress, but the ones like from news.yahoo.com or spaceweeather.com. I post those on Facebook, and they are automatically, shared with the thumbnail and a brief part of the article.
